Round Up / Awards Eligibility for 2022

This is my first time posting a year round up / eligibility thread - exciting stuff!

I had six short stories and a drabble published in 2022. The first three are free to access, and I can provide a copy of the others for review purposes. I'm not really sure how the award stuff works, but if there's something here you like enough to nominate for something, that would be amazing! 💖

Synaesthetics (short story, science fiction, 948 words) in Nature: Futures (Jan, 2022). A synaesthetic robot far from home realises that military aspirations needn't stand in the way of art.

Tangerine (short story, fantasy, 1346 words) in Kaleidotrope (Autumn, 2022). A story of first love and the inevitability of growing up as a shadow dweller, and her sister who shapes the sun, meet a rainbow girl.

Curse of the Eldritch Mermaid (short story/podcast, horror, 1498 words) in Tales to Terrify #561 (Oct, 2022). This one was runner up in the Tales to Terrify Nautical horror, flash fiction contest. A cursed mermaid haunts the high seas in search of her lost treasure.

The Broken Carousel (short story, fantasy/YA, 3692 words) was published in Andromeda Spaceways Magazine #88 (Sept, 2022). Childhood nostalgia and regret juxtaposed with a carousel come to life.

The Pizza Curse (short story, horror-humour, 2239 words) in It Was All a Dream: An Anthology of Bad Horror Tropes Done Right from Hungry Shadow Press (Oct, 2022). A pizza place, a wolf costume, the full moon. What could possibly go wrong (or right)?

A Trail of Blood Like Stars (short story, fantasy/YA, 4951 words) in And the Dead Shall Sleep No More, Vol II from I/O Enterprises (Oct, 2022). A sick woman seeks a bloody cure from a vampire who might not be all he seems.

Fire and Frost (drabble, fantasy, 100 words) in Wyrms: An Anthology of Dragon Drabbles from Shacklebound Books (July, 2022). A down in the dumps dragon finds a new, artistic way to express himself.
